Scheduling & Cancellation

Scheduling

Appointments are made on a first come first serve basis. We will schedule all wellness exams in the morning before sick children arrive. We cannot schedule well visits more than 3 months in advance and ask that all sick visits be scheduled the day you would like your child to be seen to prevent no-shows or last-minute cancellations. In the winter months we tend to fill the daily schedule early in the morning so please do not wait or hesitate if you feel your child needs to be seen by a provider. If you are unable to make an appointment due to a full schedule, we will add you to a waitlist and notify you of any cancellations for that day. If you must cancel an appointment, please call as soon as possible so our office is able to accommodate the waitlist.

Cancellation

  • Cancellation/No Show Policy for Scheduled Appointment(s) - We understand that there are times when you must miss an appointment due to emergencies or obligations for work or family. However, when you do not call to cancel an appointment, you may be preventing another patient from getting much needed treatment. If an appointment is not cancelled at least 24 hours in advance you will be charged a $25 fee; this will not be covered by your insurance company. For appointments scheduled the same day, please notify our office within 2 hours of your appointment time to avoid the $25 fee.
  • Scheduled Appointments - We understand that delays can happen, however we must try to keep other patients and doctors on time. If a patient arrives 15 minutes past their scheduled time, we will have to reschedule the appointment.
  • No Show Dismissal - Patients who do not show up for their appointment without a call to cancel an appointment will be considered a NO SHOW. Patients who No Show three (3) or more times in a 12-month period may be dismissed from the practice. They will be denied any future appointments.
